From WtmcWiki

Please take the following steps, in order to become a full member of the WTMC Wiki Community! If you follow these steps you will end up with:

  • your username
  • a password for your username
  • a new empty page where you can put information about yourself
  • you will be added automatically to the PhD members list

Step 1

Click in the upper right corner on create an account or log in. Choosing a user name like FirstnameLastname name is the most practical and recognisable solution.

After supplying your user data, you will be prompted for the WTMC Master Password. As a WTMC PhD Member, you should be able to find this password on the WTMC-AIO-mailinglist. Otherwise ask one of your peer PhD's, or contact one of the administrators (http://www.wtmc.net/wiki/index.php?title=WtmcWiki:Administrators).

Step 2

After filling out the form and supplying the master password, you will automatically be logged in. In the top line, click on your username. You will now see your user page. This page is meant as a place where other people can communicate to you by leaving comments. This is not your presentational page.

Step 3

Make a link to the page on which you are going to present yourself, your work, list of publications (if any ;-) and contact details. As to do so, just type the phrase (substituting your own name): 

#REDIRECT [[Jan Testgebruiker]]

where your name should be typed identically to the way you want it to appear in the PhD Member list.

Step 4

In order to let your page appear in the PhD Member list automatically, add the following category label: 

[[Category:PhDMembers|Testgebruiker]]

Note 1: These Wiki-specific codes are case sensitive! Upper and lower case characters are treated differently, so copying and pasting literally is recommended.

Note 2: Again replace Testgebruiker with your own surname. This is necessary, as otherwise your page will be alphabetised by your first name.


Step 5

From this point, you are free do design your page as fancy (or minimalist...) as you like. An easy solution is to cut&paste the following code, adapting it any way you want.
