What I really like about this wiki
- The idea itself is very admirable. B.penders 16:18, 29 Sep 2005 (CEST)
Thanks :-) you are doing a good job as well! --Govert Valkenburg 15:49, 8 Oct 2005 (CEST)

What I really dislike about this wiki
- I think the main page should be small enough to fit in the window. The righthand pane is too large now, as the bottom items run out of view. --Govert Valkenburg 11:27, 2 Sep 2005 (CEST)
I agree. Less text, just a folder/directory structure. B.penders 16:18, 29 Sep 2005 (CEST)
- I do not like the logo in its present form. Does somebody know how to add 'transparency' to this .png picture? Or a completely new design would perhaps be even better. --StefanVerhaegh 11:16, 2 Sep 2005 (CEST)
I added one to the WTMC logo contest Gallery as an alternative. B.penders 16:57, 29 Sep 2005 (CEST)
I added a second one, this time a PNG image including transparency and a size that is supposed to correspond to the wiki-demands (at least, that's what Stefan told me). So it is now just a matter of embodying it into the Wiki. B.penders 14:26, 7 Oct 2005 (CEST)
- I dislike the fact that there are only five users. B.penders 16:18, 29 Sep 2005 (CEST)
It's worse than that: there are only three registered users. One of the five is 'WikiSysop' which is in fact Stefan, and one is untracable, as i did something dubious in deleting an account on my name... --Govert Valkenburg 12:39, 7 Oct 2005 (CEST)
- I think we would adopt the WTMC colors for the entire Wiki. Orange and puple in stead of white and blue. To make it subtle, it might be a good idea to use light shades in stead of the shouting originals. B.penders 16:18, 29 Sep 2005 (CEST)
Perhaps just changing the background would do? As a matter of fact, I have a strong inclination to black letters on a white background... --Govert Valkenburg 12:39, 7 Oct 2005 (CEST)
That is possible too, in fact is probably is the easiest solution. I directed Stefan to a Wiki that I like very much in terms of layout, namely this one [1] (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Main_Page). Not because of the content, but because of the layout. I suggest ripping it and changing the blues and yellows to oranges and purples and to turn the black and grey striped blackground into a brown-and-orange-ish striped one. I myself have a strong inclination to white letters on a black background in order to avoid headaches as much as possible by reducing light intensity. B.penders 14:14, 7 Oct 2005 (CEST)

Wish list for new features
- I would like to be able to put PDF files somewhere --StefanVerhaegh 11:15, 2 Sep 2005 (CEST)
* (should be fixed by now --StefanVerhaegh 15:51, 10 Oct 2005 (CEST))
- And even better now: Document repository --Govert Valkenburg 18:44, 29 Jun 2006 (CEST)
- I did some work on categorizing articles. It works fine now, except for the following. The index pages corresponding to the categories are created automatically. This means that we would lose the existing lists with (yet nonexistent) entries. A solution might be to create empty pages for all entries, just with a category tag on it. But that's quite a job. Another solution might be to separate the 'wish list' of entries from the actual index pages, but that increases fragmentation of indexes. As a temporary solution I just merged the existing wish lists into the category pages, which results in an ugly (yet workable...) double alphabetic list: one for the previously generated wish list, and one for the existing entries belonging to the category. We got to work on this... --Govert Valkenburg 13:13, 8 Oct 2005 (CEST)
By the way, I wrote the very first Help entry on this topic :-) --Govert Valkenburg 13:18, 8 Oct 2005 (CEST)
Riding on my bicycle I came to the conclusion that is was probably the best solution to create a bunch of empty pages, just for the purpose of categorising them. And so I did.... It was not the big job I feared it to be (using tabbed browsing functionality of Firefox...), though with entries on persons it takes some effort to get all the alphabetisation correct. Oh by the way, sorry Bart, but some instances of your ABC-template were killed in line of duty... --Govert Valkenburg 15:48, 8 Oct 2005 (CEST)
